Halla is a choir teacher. She’s also a saboteur.

49-year old Halla leads a dangerous double life: a kind choir teacher on the outside, in secret she’s the eco-terrorist the papers are talking about. When she gets the chance to adopt a child, she has to choose: keep fighting for mother earth, or embrace being a mother herself?
Icelandic spoken, english subs, this feelgood drama is beatifully filmed. The tone is spot on: the absurdism doesn’t stand in the way of emotional depth.

Saturday we dance! Two bands, and DJ’s afterwards, do their part. It’s up to you to bring your dancing shoes!

GIJSJARADIJSJA
A sort of theatre-punk, but existential. Gijsja got needlessly famous on the interwebs 15 years ago, and nowadays brings heaps of energy to the stage with a 5 person band. However, most of them couldn’t make it, so Gijsja will play solo in Appelscha.

Step into the world of Creatures’ Funky Disco Friends, a jam-loving band where groovy funk, disco, raw-edge punk, ambient synth, and Afro-influenced percussion come together in a unique blend of psychedelic sound. What’s a camping weekend without a Bonte Avond? Show us your best tricks, and sing, dance, magic, juggle or mime for your comrades! And this year we challenge you to not be a boring grownup who leaves this responsibility to the kids. So get you on that stage and do something 😉
