The PL26 program is very full! A few of the things happening on sunday: A talk about autonomous spaces, a session about community prepping, an intro to the Fediverse and interrogation training by the AG.
A fair chunk of the programme this year will be about anti-militarism. In a series of sessions we’ll talk about the link between anarchism and anti-militarism, how to deal with unwanted ‘allies’, and the link with different struggles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zondag<\/h1>\n\n

Anti-authoritarians at war<\/h3>\n\n

Documentary screening + discussion with a member of Solidarity Collectives.<\/p>\n\n

Anti-Authoritarians at War tells the story of anarchist and anti-authoritarian militants who joined the resistance in Ukraine after the Russian invasion. The documentary follows fighters and volunteers who chose to organize themselves through autonomous and solidarity-based networks, showing both the military and the political dimensions of their struggle.<\/p>\n\n

The movie will be combined with a short commemoration of the work, life and resistance of Davyd Chyckhan (1986-2025) After the screenings there will be a discussion with a member of Solidarity Collectives, a network supporting fighters and grassroots solidarity initiatives on the ground.<\/p>\n\n

This workshop is meant to interactively explore the narratives Russia tries to spread both at home and abroad, and which influence right wing movements but also penetrate into ‘critical’ leftist analyses of the war in Western countries.<\/p>\n\n

Introduction to the IWW<\/h3>\n\n

De IWW geeft een korte introductie en legt uit wat de IWW als radicale vakbond kan betekenen voor alle arbeiders vandaag de dag.<\/p>\n\n

A highlight of humanity: A musical history of 90 years Spanish Revolution 1936-2026<\/h3>\n\n

This year it is 90 years ago that one of the highlights in human history, the Spanish Revolution, erupted in all its human festivity. In this history told with musical examples its inspiring liberatory experiments, tragic ending and lasting hope will be shown.<\/p>\n\n

foraging and herbalism<\/h3>\n\n

We start with a short foraging walk and after this we organise ourselves at a location to dive a bit deeper in making hydrosol and an ointment \/ oil.<\/p>\n

We will work with what we find, but our main focus will be on herbalism for you own herbal first aid made from whatever you have at hand.<\/p>\n

Bring your pen and paper for the recipes and maybe a small bottle or pot.<\/p>\n\n

Consequences of militarism<\/h3>\n\n

The current wave of militarisation and war preparation tries to enlist the whole society: universities, hospitals, the railways, churches and others are asked to play a part, as are individual citizens. Meanwhile there are significant consequences for other points of struggle, from the impact on climate change and nature via cuts to healthcare and social security to the rise of misogyny and racism. In this workshop we will have a discussion with people active in various movements on how militarisation connects to other areas and if it is possible to cooperate more on overlapping issues and the fight against the underlying system.<\/p>\n\n

Patriarkraakt<\/h3>\n\n

Patriarkraakt is a Utrecht-based collective organizing workshops and sessions for people who want to work on their masculinity. We believe that individuals who have internalised patriarchal behavior should work on themselves, and by organising these sessions, we hope to challenge masculinities, cultivate emotional honesty, and fight the patriarchy.<\/p>\n

In this session we want to to have a round discussion about what specific problems regarding patriarchal behaviour we have in our scene\/ environment. We would like to collect & discuss such cases that happened during actions, meetings, collective organising etc and reflect on them.<\/p>\n

Next to that we will have a discussion on what steps can be taken to counter these harmful events and also what responsibilities men have specifically on both an individual as a collective level. Furthermore we want to reflect on such steps that have been taken, and what maybe went wrong or what was missing in the work by groups that already are doing this work.<\/p>\n

This session is open for everyone and will be in English<\/p>\n\n

Dump big tech social media en omarm de Fediverse!<\/h3>\n\n

Big-tech heeft steeds meer invloed op social-media. Door het gebruik van sturende en verslavende algoritmes, censuur van links en bevooroordelen van rechtst, is er geen twijfel meer over mogelijk dat big-tech de agenda van extreemrechts uitvoert. Toch zijn er nog veel te veel anarchisten e.d. op deze corporate social media te vinden. We gaan het daarom over de Fediverse hebben, een verzameling alternatieven die vrij met elkaar kunnen communiceren. Het bekendste alternatief is Mastodon, maar we gaan het ook over o.a Pixelfed en Peertube hebben. Neem je smartphone of laptop mee, dan kunnen we elkaar helpen accounts aan te maken.<\/p>\n\n

Hoe Praat ik met een Wetenschapsontkenner?<\/h3>\n\n

Des- en misinformatie be\u00efnvloeden het publieke debat en persoonlijke relaties. Desinformatie ondermijnt de democratie en staat een rechtvaardige, duurzame en solidaire samenleving in de weg. Op inspraakavonden, in gesprek met mede- of tegenstanders, en bij media optredens kan je misinformatie tegenkomen. Maar hoe ga je daar nou eigenlijk mee om op een constructieve, vriendelijke \u00e9n principi\u00eble manier?<\/p>\n

We gaan in op wanneer een gesprek wel of juist geen zin heeft, wanneer onjuistheden weerlegd moeten worden, en hoe!<\/p>\n

Aan het eind van de workshop:<\/p>\n\n

  • Weet je de wrijving te lokaliseren aan de hand van het standaardgeschilpunten model<\/li>\n
  • Heb je kennis gemaakt met de vijf technieken van wetenschapsontkenning<\/li>\n
  • Weet je op wie je je te richten in je communicatie<\/li>\n
  • Heb je geoefend met het formuleren van antwoorden<\/li><\/ul>\n\n

    Wat is een autonome plek, nu eigenlijk?<\/h3>\n\n

    Een groep Gentse progressieve mensen is bezig met de aankoop en verbouwplannen van een plaats waar Gentse autonome organisaties zoals het Anarchistisch Centrum ASSEZ, de Infotheek, de Van Monck Autonomous Gym en andere autonome projecten kunnen groeien.<\/p>\n

    We beheren het gebouw via een co\u00f6peratieve vennootschap en bouwen daarmee aan een autonome beweging die minder afhankelijk is van de goodwill van het Gentse stadsbestuur, huiseigenaars of allerlei verhuurders. Doordat we het gebouw in eigendom hebben kunnen we ook voor toekomstige generaties een uitvalsbasis zijn om de autonome beweging te doen groeien. Wij werpen de vraag op: \u201cWat is (de betekenis van een) autonome plek?\u201d.<\/p>\n\n

    Squat the Food system \/ Gekraakte Groente<\/h3>\n\n

    Basic needs for all! Healthy food should not be a privilege. While multi-nationals are hoarding money and power, fresh vegetables, especially pesticides-free, become increasingly inaccessible for the rest of us. Next to that, it is very hard to access land. We believe this has to change. On a 0.7 hectare squatted community garden, we are growing our own vegetables, accessible on donations and run by volunteers. We are growing resistance, free of pesticides and market logic. We want to share our story, dive into the current food system, and talk about how we can challenge it. What else do we have to eat during the revolution?<\/p>\n\n

    HOLO! Anarcho populisme in de praktijk<\/h3>\n\n

    Afgelopen jaar is de HOLO! Campagne hard aan het werk geweest om als anarchisten te organiseren op bread and butter issues, en met een duidelijk, simpel en direct antikapitalistisch verhaal van gewone mensen tegen kapitalisten, bezitters: anarcho-populisme.<\/p>\n

    Met flyeren, posteren, workshops, demo\u2019s, workshops en meer zijn we aan de slag gegaan om dit terrein weer open te breken en mensen aan te trekken die deze noodzaak zien. In deze workshop en discussie kijken we hierop terug en vooruit: wat kunnen we meenemen uit deze ervaring en welke resultaten zijn er geboekt?<\/p>\n\n

    Discussie over praktisch en strategisch antifascisme<\/h3>\n\n

    We willen een open gesprek faciliteren over manieren, kennis, en vaardigheden om antifascisme tot een bredere beweging te maken. Er zijn veel groepen die goed werk doen maar er moet, naast wat er nu al gebeurt, ook gekeken worden naar strategische antwoorden op de middellange termijn.<\/p>\n

    Binnenkort willen we beginnen met workshops in Amsterdamse buurthuizen, waarin we parallellen trekken tussen het verleden en het heden. We willen bespreken hoe (anti)fascisme er in het verleden uitzag en hoe we dit naar het heden kunnen vertalen.<\/p>\n

    Daarom zouden we graag een discussie hebben over het huidige fascisme, organisatievormen en knelpunten.<\/p>\n\n

    Muay Thai for beginners<\/h3>\n\n

    This workshop is an introduction to Muay Thai. Muay Thai is a form of martial arts in which one combines various striking, kicking and clinching techniques. The workshop is given by flinta instructors and priority will be given to flinta people if there is too many participants.<\/p>\n\n

    Anarchistisch Archief Appelscha<\/h3>\n\n

    Het AAA biedt met een bijzondere collectie boeken, brochures, tijdschriften, pamfletten, affiches en unieke archivalia een kijkje in de geschiedenis van de Anarchistische beweging in Nederland. Daarmee is het AAA zowel een bron van inspiratie & hoop als een nog immer groeiend tijdsdocument, ter lering & vermaak.<\/p>\n

    Tijdens de PL vertellen we daarom graag iets over dit unieke archief en geven we o.a. een digitaal inkijkje in de rijke affiche-collectie.<\/p>\n

    Heb je zelf nog affiches, flyers of andere anarchistische activistische archivalia? Neem ze dan vooral mee om aan het archief te doneren!<\/p>\n\n

    How to Prepair for Arrest + Interrogation Training – Wat te doen als je gearresteerd wordt + verhoortraining<\/h3>\n\n

    Deze interactieve workshop bereidt je voor op eventuele arrestatie tijdens een demonstratie of actie, bedoeld voor iedereen, met of zonder ervaring met gearresteerd worden.<\/p>\n

    Tijdens iedere actie of demo loop je het risico om gearresteerd te worden. In deze workshop vertellen we wat je als activist juridisch kan verwachten bij arrestaties, wat je rechten en plichten zijn. Er zal ook een verhoortraining gegeven worden en er is ruimte voor vragen over gearresteerd worden en de mogelijke consequenties.<\/p>\n

    Prepare for arrest is a workshop to help people prepare in case they get arrested during a action or demonstration. It will be an interactive workshop for everyone – with or without experience of being arrested.<\/p>\n

    Any action or demonstration carries the risk of arrest. In this workshop we want to provide tools and experiences in how to prepare for this. We will do an interrogation training, explain practicalities and your rights, and answer questions concerning arrest and consequences of participating in an action or demo.<\/p>\n\n

    \u201cOrganized anarchism\u201d: History, theory and practice<\/h3>\n\n

    From Bakunin and the first specific anarchist organization, to it\u2019s arrival in the Netherlands and the first nation wide anarchist organization in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n

    Anarchistisch ge\u00efnspireerd onderwijs<\/h3>\n\n

    Terwijl de wereld schreeuwt om systeemverandering blijft het reguliere schoolonderwijs gericht op jonge mensen laten invoegen in de bestaande kapitalistische orde. Veel vaker dan echt leerzame plekken, waar kinderen zich als autonome wezens door hun eigen nieuwsgierigheid mogen laten leiden, zijn scholen ingericht als leerfabrieken die draaien op disciplinerende macht, controledrang en autoritair gezag. In deze workshop kijken we naar voorbeelden van anarchistisch ge\u00efnspireerde onderwijsinitiatieven en onderzoeken we hoe anarchistische waarden zoals vrijheid, gelijkwaardigheid, rechtvaardigheid en solidariteit in onze tijd een antwoord kunnen bieden op het falende schoolsysteem.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n
