Many activists are still using Instagram to mobilise, announce actions, and connect with others. Conversations with fellow anarchists often end in a call to boycott social media, though alternatives exist that are worth exploring and building. We’ll begin with a short talk on asocial platforms, addictive designs, and why people still use them.

We’ll also show open source websites/servers and digital art. Then follows an open discussion on our dependence, reclaiming the internet, and what’s needed for a truly social(!) platform.This will be a moment to reflect on creative, self-reliant online practices and breaking free from fascist, addictive platforms.
